The hotel has seven elegant meeting rooms, including a grand ballroom fit for a 19th-century royal drama. The ballroom foyer alone, with its magnificent ceiling fresco and chandelier, is breathtaking. Sotheby's thought highly enough of the hotel as a place to do business to establish its Swiss HQ here in 1987.
Each room is named after a famous event or personality. The Windsor room commemorates the sale at auction by Sotheby's of the Duchess of Windsor's jewels. The Masaryk room is named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, created after WWI in 1918. It retains the furnishings and porcelain of what was the Mayer family dining room. In 2003 the hotel installed a Cisco Systems high-speed Internet network in all conference rooms, which can hold a total of 1,200 people.
